So it’s been going on for a while, but my best friends’ father has been hanging out in Bermuda for the past 5 months, unable to leave because he accidentally took a few guns his wife inherited with him and apparently that’s illegal in Bermuda. Oops. By Bermudan law, the minimum mandatory sentence would have been ten years, which would not have been good for anyone involved.
The trial started Monday, and today a verdict was announced that cleared him of all charges!
I’m sure this is a great weight lifted from my friend Jon (see birthday greetings in a previous post), and I’m very happy that it’s come to this.
